I get so emotional when I talk about "Queenie's Crown."

I wanted to create an inspiring story for little girls that look like me, who struggles to see themselves as BEAUTIFUL, naturally. I want them to know that they are perfect the way they were born!

It took me forever to love the person staring back at me in the mirror. I had a whole mental breakdown the first time I attempted to go out in public with my natural hair. No weave, no braids, no relaxer, just me and my 4c hair!! I felt so vulnerable and "ugly."

That was about 12 years ago. As an adult, I was still struggling with society's beauty standards that had been drilled into me since a child.

Queenie's Crown is the book I needed as a little black girl!!!

My goal with this book is to reach as many little girls and help them see the BEAUTY in their CROWN so they can face the world with confidence and their heads held high! 💚👸🏿
