If you are reading this i’m sure there is one question that comes to mind; why should I choose this guy as my instructor?
Let me start by saying shooting is not only a passion of mine but a way of life. I started out shooting when I was young. I was infatuated by anything guns and military. I owe a lot of my start to my Grandfather and my Step-father. The first time I got any type of experience behind a real firearm was with my Grandfather. He was a Vietnam Combat Veteran that did 20+ years with the core. Lets just say his level of knowledge and instruction was a great foundation. Later on in life I met my step-father, Tim. He was a former Sheriffs Deputy and a Championship Bullseye Shooter with many titles and accolades. He let me have free reign to learn and shoot anything I wanted. My mom, Tim and I got into shooting USPSA together and boy was that an eye opener to running and gunning! I loved it! After a few years of this I moved on to bigger things.
I turned 18 and the play stuff was over. I joined the United States Air Force in 2012 as Security Forces. I quickly showed my worth and shot expert on all platforms I encountered. I gained real world firearm application experience and understand what its like in the line of duty. After a few years my Flight Chief pushed me to become a Designated Marksman. I went through the course and qualified as a DM. This put me in a position that I enjoyed but also came with more responsibility. I would spend a lot of time and rounds at the range striving to become better. In SF we are Law Enforcement (stateside) but we we deploy we are a jack of all trades. We could be doing Convoys, Counter Insurgency Operations (COIN), Personal Security Details, Base defense, Reaper missions, and anything in between. In 2015 I deployed to the Middle East. I served 191 days in that S&^t hole and got to hang out with the Navy’s Special Operations guys, As well as the Australian Royal Air Force’s Combat support unit. It was an interesting time in my life as I got to learn from different operators from around the world. My flight was tasked with security of the Vice President while he was in country giving a speech to the troops on the ground. I didn't hear the speech because I was in a tower providing over watch but i’m sure it was good. Needless to say sharing and learning tactics was always my favorite part of the military. when I came home in 2016 I was lucky enough to work with and on occasion help train other local police and SWAT agencies. I finished my contact in 2018 but I have never stopped training and taking classes.
Learning and getting better is always my mission. At LTDA we believe in the power of dynamic training. I will ensure your training will be a personalized shooting experience that will leave you with more confidence, skills and knowledge to better defend your life.
