I had the biggest gut punch realization of my life!!!🤯

Lately I’ve been taking a bit of a social media break to not only prep for baby boy🩵

But to slow down & be more present✨ in the moment with my daughter

Too often I feel we get lost in the hustle & grind of business that we forget to enjoy the life we've built🛠️ around us

And it wasn't until my daughter was starting to get a lil tude with me (rightfully so🫢) & pulling my phone from my hands so I would look at her, that I realized this has gone too far.

I had been showing my daughter that my phone📱 & the people inside it, hold a higher priority in my life than her.

Which is so NOT the case🙅‍♀️

And as a mom, realizing this was a like a massive gut punch🥊 to the heart.

The last thing I wanted my daughter to think was my phone is more important than her.

And come to think of it…

I couldn’t remember the last time I had really got out & made some memories with my sweet girl because I’ve become such a homebody🏡

So I decided enough was enough, took a huge step back from social media and focused on being more present in the moment.

And it was the best decision I could’ve ever made!🙌🏻

Sure, I get it’s important to show up for business & your clients - I’m not knocking that.

But at the expense of making memories with your kids or loved ones…

What are you even hustling for to begin with? 🤔

To sit behind your phone or computer all day?

No sir, no ma’am.
Not me🙅‍♀️
Not anymore!

So here’s a little sneak peek BTS of what I’ve been up to the last few weeks.

Nothing fancy but I’m out here living my BEST life🤗❤️ with the people that I love.

And that’s ultimately what matters most at the end of the day.

So don’t be like the old me🫣

This is your friendly reminder to get up off your ass, risk some discomfort & go make memories🎞️

Take a moment to remind yourself of your priorities & WHY you started this business in the first place.

Your business will not crumble if you take a day or even a few weeks.

And remember, the best ideas/ creations💡 are born when you’re out living your life.

Stop living your life for the pleasure or benefit of other people.

You don’t have to carry the weight of other people’s expectations.

The only expectations you should live up to, let alone take seriously, are the ones YOU🫵 set for yourself.

❌ You don’t have to get a college degree just because your parents expect you to.

❌ You don’t have to climb the corporate ladder just because that’s what everyone else has done.

❌ You don’t have to workout, eat healthy & be super skinny just because that’s what society has engrained into us to live.

Stevie Wonder said it best,

“You can’t base your life on other people’s expectations.”

Live for yourself.
Live for your dreams.
Live for your happiness.

Go the untraditional route🛣️

Do things that excite but scare the hell outta you.

And stop worrying about if you’ll let someone down because you didn’t live THEIR version of the life they wanted for you. Or because you chose to go down a different path.

This is YOUR life.

It’s time you live it for you🫵❤️‍🔥

Always say “my peace is more important”

When you find yourself reacting to things that don’t deserve your energy.

Don’t waste your energy (& especially your peace) over things that are out of your control.

The only one who has power over you, your emotions & how you act on them..

Is yourself.

You ARE deserving of your peace.

Don’t give it away freely to other people or outside factors.

Protect it at all costs!🛡️🗡️

Happy Mother’s Day💖💐

To my beautiful baby girl - idk what I did to deserve you calling me mom but I am one blessed woman. And I love being your mom for there is no greater honor❤️ You frustrate the hell outta me & we fight like sisters now that your sassy attitude has grown🤣 but I still love you all the same because that sassy attitude will grow into the most strong, independent woman who knows what she wants & takes NO s**t!💪🏻🔥 I am so proud of the little girl you’re becoming & I know you’ll be the BEST big sister come November. I can’t wait to keep watching you grow.

I remember being so jealous of my best friend growing up.

We first met in the 4th grade & had been inseparable since.

She radiated confidence + positivity every where she went.

The girl was the literal definition of lighting up a room✨

I prayed everyday to wake up with just an ounce of her confidence.

And I hate to say, it truly wasn’t until college that I really started finding it.

I realized I wasn’t going to get any more confident by just wishing for it or trying to be like someone else.

I had to work for it.

I had to get comfortable with being massively uncomfortable

Like when presenting a report in front of the whole class - scariest s**t in the moment but I essentially had to fake my own confidence until I started believing it myself.

Every time I did something that scared me, made me uncomfortable or pushed me to take risks

I’d put another coin🪙 in the confidence bank🏦

The uncomfortability would lessen & my confidence would grow every time I took action.

Because here’s the thing…

Growth & success doesn’t come from your comfort zone.

It comes from you taking risks & doing the damn thing because you trust yourself more than that negative Nancy in the back of your head

If this is you - I was in the same boat🚣‍♀️ for a LONG time too.

I was quite literally addicted to learning any & all information I could when I first started my business.

👉Signing up for all the freebie masterclasses & downloading every freebie I could get my hands on.

Thinking…More info = Better Results, right?

Lol NOPE🙅🏻‍♀️

My obsession with learning all the things was actually what was keeping me stuck.

It kept me from finding my own way of doing things. From fully embodying who I am & how I want to run my business.

Because I was so focused on what all the “experts” were doing👀 & how I can be like them

But most importantly, it kept me trapped in a student state where all I did was learn, learn, learn

Vs. putting into practice what I already knew & growing my authority.

Now dont get me wrong, there is absolutely nothing wrong with furthering your knowledge

But if thats all your doing & not taking action on anything you’ve learned…

Are you really learning? 🤷‍♀️

At some point you have to be willing to hop off the hamster wheel and put your hard work into real action so you can start seeing results inside your business.

I can tell you right now, freebies are great but not the way to grow your biz.

Start by getting real specific on who you’re speaking to & repetitively talk about your area of expertise/ how you help them.

The goal is to establish yourself an authority figure within your industry niche.

Provide your audience with lots of actionable knowledge that they can take from your content, implement into their daily lives & start seeing results.

This not only builds authority within your audience but creates credibility for you as well.

Now further those connections you build by nurturing them in the DM’s.

Rinse & repeat🔁

Don’t be afraid to stand out. You have what it takes to sign your next client.

Recognize your voice is powerful and your message deserves to be heard by those who need to hear it most.

There is only YOUR way!

To often there’s this pressure in the online space to

Find the “right” strategies.
Post the “right” content.
Say the “right” thing.

When in reality - that level of “perfection” is not only unattainable, but it doesn’t exist.

Because there is NO one right way to do things inside of your business.

If you try to do what everyone else is doing - you’ll never find YOUR way.

Your specific way of thinking, moving, or acting.

As humans - we all operate differently & therefore what may work for one person, may not work for you.

Because it’s not your style. It’s now how you think or move.

And im not saying you can’t look to other coaches or industry leaders you admire.

They are there to fill in the gaps for what you don’t know.

But what they can’t teach you - is how YOU work.

For example:

Say your coach thrives off of running group programs, going live every day & speaking on podcasts.

But YOU - You may prefer to operate in a 1:1 capacity vs. 1:many. You enjoy going live but only once a week b/c the thought of going live daily drains you.

You have to find you way in this space & what works specifically for YOU.

As your coach, I can teach you all my tools + strategies but at the end of the day you have to ultimately find what works best for you.

Everybody’s path to success looks different.

Im gonna be very honest with you…

You’re not going to get very far in anything you do, without some serious mindset work.

Because half the time you’re too busy standing in your own way to even realize you’re the one holding yourself back.

❤️‍🔥Your thoughts.
❤️‍🔥Feelings.
❤️‍🔥Emotions.
❤️‍🔥Energy.

It’s all impacted.

But YOU have control over it all.

Meaning, you can let the menial BS like spilling your coffee ruin your whole day
