Congrats Dan-O Deckelman , Wallace Dietz , Randy Mendicino, and Blee Child ! And we understand Jessica Pooley makes a vocal appearance on the album as well.

You will no doubt remember "Sand to Pearls, Coal to Diamonds" (TooGood 18) by The Silent Boys, which we released in November 2022. This band from Richmond, Virginia, is just one of the musical projects of Wallace Dietz, who in recent years has added a new group to his CV: The Melody Chamber.

Formed with Dan-O Deckelman – who had already contributed to the making of "Sand to Pearls, Coal to Diamonds" and is Wallace's partner at Sound of Music Studios – alongside Blee Child and Randy Mendicino, The Melody Chamber sound like they hail from early 80's Manchester & Athens, Georgia.

The Melody Chamber's self-titled debut is a postmodern new wave album that runs from cold wave to jangle to post-punk and back again. It's as close as anyone will get to reproducing a timeless John Hughes 80's film soundtrack. Although The Melody Chamber recall some of the great guitar pop bands of the past – think of a perfect hybrid of R.E.M., The Smiths, The Psychedelic Furs and The Church – they have forged a distinctive, original and modern sound that promises to appeal to music lovers of all ages.

"The Melody Chamber" (TooGood 46) will be released on November 7 as a limited-edition vinyl (in collaboration with US label Happy Happy Birthday To Me Records), a limited-edition CD, and in digital format. The first track, 'Memories of Fall', is available now, and the album can already be pre-ordered.

2 studio partners and musicians have been picked up by labels Happy Happy Birthday to Me Records (HHBTM) & Too Good To Be True records and the first single is a featured release here on Austin Town Hall !
