Before filming, the Wachowskis made the entire cast read and study philosophy and cyberpunk literature, including Simulacra and Simulation by Jean Baudrillard, to understand the deeper themes of the story. In fact, Neo hides his illegal software in a hollowed-out copy of Simulacra and Simulation—a subtle nod to the book’s influence on the film’s concept of reality vs. illusion.

What an incredible honor to be featured in the Best of RVA showcase for the Richmond 48 Hour Film Project 🎬

While we didn’t take home the win this time, just being nominated alongside so many talented teams means the world to us. This experience has pushed us, inspired us, and reminded us why we love doing what we do.

Thank you to everyone who supported our film, came out to the screenings, and showed love throughout the process. We’re beyond grateful — and already fired up for the next one.

Our Richmond 48 Hour Film Project film CORKED was just nominated for Best of RVA and will be screened again at the Encore Premiere this Saturday, July 27th at 2 PM at The Park RVA! 🏆🎬

If you missed the first showing—or just want to laugh again—this is your chance to come out, support the local film community, and vote for your favorite film (we hope it’s us 😉).

What a night! 🎬🍷

We’re beyond grateful to have had the opportunity to take part in the Richmond 48 Hour Film Project premiere today. CORKED was a wild ride from concept to screen, and seeing it come to life in front of an audience was nothing short of magical.

The laughter, the energy, the support—we felt every bit of it. Thank you to everyone who came out, cheered us on, and shared in the chaos we bottled up into one very weird little comedy. Your response means the world to us.

To the amazing cast, crew, and everyone behind the scenes—thank you for giving it your all in such a short amount of time. We’re proud, humbled, and honestly still a little wine-stained.

Here’s to storytelling under pressure—and to the next adventure. 🥂
