The Lady Indians get some insurance runs in the top of the seventh, and Drury finishes the job to help Madison Central earn a state tournament win in their first appearance in 24 years. Madison Central will advance to the state quarterfinals where they will either play South Warren (41-0, ranked number 6 in the nation) or Oldham County (27-10) on Saturday at 1. The Lady Indians are now 27-8 on the season, and have outscored their opponents by a combined score of 56-4 in postseason play.
