The Fort Bend Junior Service League (FBJSL), with the support of title sponsor Memorial Hermann Sugar Land, successfully raised $317,000 at this year’s Sugar Plum Market, as announced during a check presentation on December 16, 2025.

A total of 31 local nonprofits received grants from the funds. This accomplishment was made possible through the generosity of sponsors, patrons, and dedicated volunteers who managed the Market.

I have been prayerfully considering this New Year’s Resolutions thing for a couple of weeks now. My people keep asking me about my resolve and my goals for the year. My resolve? It’s as if they don’t know me. I have more resolve than the average Joe. I am the epitome of decisive, firm, a problem solver. So why do I have to come up with a list of things to resolve for 2026? I resolve multiple things on the daily, and now I need an actual list to work off of?

On March 3, 2026, Texas House District 85 constituents will go to the polls to vote for their choice to represent their district for two more years in Austin.

This important primary will determine who will appear on the ballot for the November 2026 election for both the Republican and Democratic parties.

I’m a go directly to the source kind of girl. Always have been.

I mean why deal with a middleman when you can go straight to the top?
I find this approach much more efficient garnering the desired results in a concise, timely fashion.

I’m also not overly patient. Waiting on a response when I can tackle it right then and there is my modus operandi. Mr. Kaminski calls this trait of mine aggressive. I call it cogent and downright smart.
