Jesse Taylor's spirit visited me in the studio tonight. Well, I had something wild and wonderful happen tonight at the studio. My friend Trucker Dan was in the studio tonight hanging out as I started to work on some of Jesse Taylor's songs. I needed to transfer the tracks into Pro Tools and wasn't sure which take I had decided to use back in January when we tracked the drums with Hammons. So I pull out my little black session book and it falls open to the exact page from that session back in January. I hadn't opened that book to that page, since a few weeks after Jesse passed. Well, Jesse was back in the studio tonight with me while I mixed some drums and it was a nice feeling. I sure do miss him and our long conversations about music.
