My Encounter with Robin Williams

Just getting out of work and heading to REI in Berkeley when I saw Mr. Williams standing by a car and the driver saying, "Say something funny." He responded in typical Robin Williams fashion, "What do you want me to say?" and the guy screamed in laughter. "You're funny. Love ya man," and off went the driver.

I walked to my car and Mr. Williams was parked right next to me. I look over and say, "Some people." He nodded with a smile and I said, "Take care Robin." He thanked me and left.

Still say the greatest comedic performance on film, which should have been given Oscar consideration, was Robin Williams in Mrs. Doubtfire.

Plus, he was the real deal as the Genie in Aladdin which set the standard for celebrities to get into voiceover for animation films today.

His voiceover performance, in my opinion, is the best ever.

RIP Robin Williams and thanks for the laughs.
