I modified this Speck B using 20A ESC to be fully compatible with universal Tx/Rx electronics. I will later use the car for my Teleweb project where you will be able to control the car using camera mounted on top of the car, like in the video ;)

This little crawler has taught me a lot and it is finally ready to use in my Teleweb app project. I needed to do all these modifications because, basically, the stock version was nowhere near to be compatible.

First, it had its own special Rx and ESC combo unit, which made cable connections impossible to be compatible with Universal Rx channel ports. So, I needed to change the servo and light connectors with standard 3 pin JR connectors. Since I removed the original Rx&ESC combo, I also added compatible ESC to drive the motor and complete the circuit on the car.

Second, the battery was too small. They put only a 350mAh battery in it and it can only give enough power for the car and the controller for about 15-20 mins. It would be very short. I upgraded it with a 2800mAh battery to last about 3 hours before needing to be charged again.

This small crawler is teaching me a lot about RC car mods. For my Teleweb project, cars need to operate at least 3 hours without any charging. To achieve that, at least 2800mah battery is needed because both controller and the car will drain the battery at about 3Wh rate. However, the weight of such a battery is almost 100 grams, it is too heavy for smaller scales like 1:20 or 1:24s.

So, I tried to balance the weight of that battery along with the controller on top by making further adjustments and, I think, now it is good to go!

Stay tuned for this summer, we are 1 more week closer to the release of the Teleweb app. I will hopefully give you the exact release date by the end of April.

Last week I drove my cute KEI truck here but normally I built this Alligator track for small 1/18 scale Drift cars for drifting and racing. I am building a different type of RC Car places in my backyard for my upcoming project called Teleweb.

Everyday we are getting closer to the release date of my Teleweb project. It will be a new way of RC control and I am getting more and more excited to share it with you.

The complete backyard will be my Pilot Study area for this project. It is basically an app that will enable you to control my cars that I will set up here. You will be controlling the car like you are the driver inside, like POV will be from a camera mounted on the car.

I played with this Super Fun RC KEI Truck in my backyard!
It is a cute little 1/10 scale KEI truck that I got from Amazon for $49.99 only. We played and carried so many loads with my 1.5 years old son at home and it seems both the body and the chassis are very durable, nothing broken so far. It can move loads up to 1 kg and it is super cool.

Normally, Kei trucks are designed for maneuverability, utility, exceptional durability and feature 4WD that make them popular for farming, maintenance, and off-road use, usually at a low cost and this RC version is no different than the actual scale!

I tested it in my miniature F1 track, its turn radius is very narrow which is very nice for maneuverability. It can also go off-road well enough to drive in mulch and sand areas. As you can see in the video, it is a small beast to get you so much fun 🙂

I Built the Most Insanely FUN RC Park in my Backyard for YOU
I laughed to tears while playing with this small-budget friendly RC Crawler in my backyard RC park! It is so much fun to drive with obstacles and through the most realistic decorations I put together. It is a pack of fun here that I want everyone to enjoy without even coming here…

That’s why we are developing a project called Teleweb to bring this fun RC park to your Phone, stay tuned and subscribe to stay in loop ;)

I named this crawling park as “Pebble Rock RC Park” because I framed and separated it using pebble rocks from the other areas. It has some rocky course with uneven surfaces, Big Drain pipe tunnel, ramps for the pallet platform, and even bridges between acid barrels! It also has some sandy areas to spin out your wheels to have extra fun. Last but not least, I tried to set up a small miniature Village to enrich the decoration part of this park.

You will find so much more quirks and fun things as you drive.

Making of Miniature Miami F1 Track in my Backyard

Many people see the resemblance of the Alligator head in the Miami F1 track and I liked that. I tried to mimic the track while making my RC Drift Track for my upcoming project.

It will be a place for 1:24 scale mini drift cars with my Teleweb app project that will be released later this year, hopefully. Stay tuned!
