Virginia is among the first states in the country to allow automated enforcement at stop signs and crosswalks after Gov. Abigail Spanberger signed SB84 into law in April, which will allow cameras using artificial intelligence to issue citations for flagrant stop sign and crosswalk violations, particularly in school and work zones.

The NTSB's preliminary report on the deadly Virginia Interstate 95 bus crash reveals new details about the speed of the collision, the scope of the destruction and the work zone conditions at the time. Four members of a Massachusetts family were among the five people killed after their SUV burst into flames. People in other vehicles suffered injuries ranging from minor to serious.
