So very excited to be able to share this article from VCU, which showcases a VR project we were able to participate in with Root VR.

This project was developed by Professor Cleary, associate professor of Criminal Justice at VCU. The project uses “virtual reality to help police, legal experts and policymakers better understand the difference between permissible police interrogation techniques and coercion in police interrogations by putting them in the subject’s shoes.”

Directing a 360 video VR video was a new and challenging experience. We are so proud to have been able to help make this important research a reality.

What can VR reveal about police interrogations? A Wilder School criminal justice associate professor, a two-time School of Business alum, a School of the Arts instructor and a theatre student are working together to find out.
