FCA had a remarkable week filled with joy and exciting experiences. The week commenced with our students delivering an outstanding performance in their Christmas play on Tuesday evening, highlighting their exceptional talents.
On Wednesday, FCA had a special guest join us-Mrs. Marlene Byrd Mclain. Mrs. Marlene brought sweet treats, chocolate milk, the sweetest lamb ornaments with a bookmark that tells the story of our Great Shepherd (each student received one of each 😊), and a Christmas story from a Little Golden Book ❤️ We love when she drops by our school! She teaches the BEST lessons 🩷
This was followed by an engaging day of STEM/STEAM projects and science experiments, where the children constructed bridges and skyscrapers while testing hypotheses for their intriguing experiments (11 to be exact😃). Our older students enjoyed showing the younger children what STEM/STEAM was about. While these projects were fun and on the simplistic side, our older students have been working on their own STEM projects through our curriculum, Abeka. More to come on these fantastic projects in the spring at our science fair.
Today, we commemorated the Christmas spirit with a festive celebration and a pizza party. Our remarkable parents (FCA has the BEST room mommas around 😊), contributed delightful snacks and side dishes and sent the most thoughtful gifts for the children and teachers. The children thoroughly enjoyed the gift-giving experience, and talking about the best gift that's ever been given/received-Jesus! They enjoyed reveling in a well-deserved day of enjoyment and camaraderie.
John 3:16 KJV
