🦃 Wow! Our 9th Annual Turkey Trot was a massive success! 🏃‍♂️

A huge THANK YOU to the nearly 1,200 participants, volunteers, and event sponsors (and even Rally the Raptor!) who started their Thanksgiving with us!

Because of your incredible support, this was our largest-ever fundraiser, raising over $46,000 for the Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation and the Ridgefield Family Resource Center! That's a record amount to support our students, schools, and families.

We are so grateful for your generosity and community spirit.

Some good Turkey Trot 🦃 weather news: Looks like the rain will be taking a break just in time for our event! If the forecast holds, we can expect a mostly dry Trot.

🦃 WOW! RIDGEFIELD IS SHOWING UP! 🏃‍♀️

We hit a BIG milestone tonight! After packet pick-up, we now have 1,016 people officially registered for tomorrow's annual Thanksgiving 5K Run/Walk! Thank you for making this such a wonderful holiday tradition.

Drumstick Dash (Pre-K Kids): 8:45 AM (Line up at 8:40 AM)

You may have already heard the big news: 10 very cheeky turkeys decided they just couldn't wait for the race to start! They waddled away from Turkey Trot Headquarters over the weekend.

We tracked them down (with help from a super-secret turkey whisperer), and we've learned their sneaky plan: they want to hide and watch all the amazing participants like you run and walk the course!

Your mission: As you make your way along the Turkey Trot route Thanksgiving morning, keep your eyes peeled for all 10 runaway birds!

What they look like: They look exactly like the turkeys in the picture.

Where they are: They are hiding somewhere along the route, waiting to cheer you on!

Can you find them all? See if you can spot all 10 of these feathered friends hiding in plain sight! Good luck!

WOW! The excitement is real! We now have over 900 people ready to lace up their sneakers and join us this Thanksgiving for the annual Turkey Trot 5K run/walk! We're expecting a record turn-out, and it's all in support of Ridgefield students and schools. You still have time to join the fun!

We're on track for another RECORD-BREAKING attendance year for the Turkey Trot 5K run/walk on Thanksgiving morning! So far 813 folks have committed to being there to fundraise for our students and community. Half the proceeds from the event will help fund the Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation's grants and scholarships programs, and half will go to the Ridgefield Family Resource Center to support Ridgefield students and their families. Our Story

The Ridgefield Public Schools Foundation is a privately funded, nonprofit organization serving as a liaison between the Ridgefield community and the Ridgefield School District to support our students’ academic and social needs. The Foundation was established in 2009 by a small group of parents looking for a way to fund programs and services in our schools that are not funded from other sources. Specifically, we want to target the areas where the Ridgefield School District, PTA, PTO, and Booster Club funding not able to meet the needs of our rapidly growing District. The Ridgefield Public School Foundation advances programs and activities that support whole student development for which public resources are insufficient or unavailable.
