The Ridgway Elkers Varsity Football team started strong in their season opener on Friday against St. Marys, triumphing over the Flying Dutchmen 40-13. The Ridgway Public Library's Summer Concert is underway until 8 tonight, with Dr. Paul Fehrenbach, Ed Schwer, and Rita Ordiway.
The sun came out and a large crowd showed up to relax in the garden.

Elkers Open Season Against Tough Punxsutawney Squad

The Ridgway Elkers opened their 2026 golf season Wednesday at Laurel Mill Golf Course, taking on a tough Punxsutawney squad in their first match of the fall.
Punxsutawney came away with the team victory, posting a 154 to Ridgway’s 169 in the teams’ four-of-six scoring format. See the Aug. 14 edition of The Ridgway Record for more details.
