🤱🏼✨ BIG NEWS + IMPORTANT INFO for Breastfeeding Families! ✨🍼

🚫 As many of you know, The Lactation Network (TLN)recently ended their out-of-network coverage with Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) — leaving many families with fewer options for covered lactation care.

💔 This change has affected so many amazing local lactation consultants who are STILL providing exceptional care and offering superbills for possible reimbursement. Unfortunately, the real issue is bigger than any one provider…

📣 Here’s what you need to know:

🔹 BCBS & Anthem are NOT allowing most IBCLCs to become in-network — even when we meet their own credentialing standards.
🔹 Many families are told lactation services are covered at 100%, yet when they call their plan… ❌ “No one is in-network near you.”
🔹 This is a widespread access issue — and families NEED to speak up.

☎️ Here’s what you can do:
📞 Call the member services number on your BCBS/Anthem card and say:
👉 “I need in-network access to an IBCLC for lactation support. My plan says it’s covered, but there are no providers near me. Please escalate this.”

We’re raising funds to certify 4 amazing doulas through DONA International — giving them the credentials they need to serve more families in our community!

✨ Certification opens the door to:

✔️ CARROT insurance reimbursement with most major providers

✔️ Supporting families who can’t afford out-of-pocket doula care

My name is Briana and I have always wanted to make sure I can serve women with all birth journeys to the best of my ability. I was inspired to become a doula after my 4th baby when I desired to give every woman in my community the village they deserve.

I took The VBAC Link course for my own doula business but as well as for the nonprofit doula service I started last year. This is so all women will have the VBAC support they need despite financial obstacles.

I am a certified doula, certified lactation counselor, certified bereavement/ miscarriage doula, and NRP trained.
