Dear Sharyland High Baseball Fans,

Due to inclement weather and delays in today’s State Championship schedule, we have been informed, as of now, that the Sharyland High baseball game will begin following the conclusion of the 5:30 p.m. game, impacting the originally scheduled 7:00 p.m. start time.

Because of the unpredictable nature of both weather and baseball game durations, we do not have an exact updated start time at this moment. We are continuing to receive updates from UIL and will share additional information as soon as it becomes available.

Congratulations

Congratulations to Roma ISD Superintendent Carlos M. Gonzalez Jr. on being selected as the Region One Superintendent of the Year.

Gonzalez will represent the Region One area in the statewide award program, which recognizes exemplary Texas superintendents for excellence and achievement in educational leadership. He will advance alongside 19 other regional nominees from across the state.

It's Game Day for the Rattlers!

Today, we're sharing a photo of Sharyland baseball player Eramos Flores. He is pictured on the left in the early 1920s. At that time, baseball was beginning to surge in popularity across the Rio Grande Valley, establishing a tradition that has endured for more than a century.

The Mission Historical Museum sends our best wishes to the Sharyland players, coaches, and fans. Go out there and make history!
