Today we say goodbye to a beloved part of The Lauderdale County Enterprise family. Visitation for Mike Hutcherson is from noon to 1:30 p.m. today at Thompson’s Mortuary Chapel, with graveside service at 2 p.m. in the Thurmond Family Cemetery in the Woodville Community. While we mourn his loss, we are also comforted by his testimony of faith in the Blood of Jesus Christ, knowing God's promises tell us he is at home in Heaven with his cherished wife, Beverly.

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office is issuing a public safety announcement to citizens in Southern Lauderdale County, particularly Henning, TN.

The Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office and United States Marshals Service are currently actively working to apprehend Bryan A. LEBEL, who is currently wanted on charges related to the discharge of a firearm at law enforcement in 2024.

LEBEL is considered a survivalist with extensive knowledge of the area. LEBEL should be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached.

If you see LEBEL or have information concerning his whereabouts, contact the Lauderdale County Sheriff’s Office at 731-635-1311.

The UT Martin main campus and regional centers in Ripley, Jackson, Parsons, Selmer, Somerville, and Springfield in Middle Tennessee will be closed Friday, Jan. 10. Classes are canceled and administrative offices will be closed.

In other related announcements:

• The main campus will remain open all day today, Thursday, Jan. 9, and all evening classes on the main campus will continue as scheduled.

• The UT Martin Regional Centers will all close at 5 p.m. today, Jan. 9.

• Employees identified as “essential’ by their supervisors should report onsite Jan. 10.
