Staff include Britt Talent, publisher/editor; Stan Sadler, Other Days editor; and Douglas Boultinghouse, circulation manager/graphic designer.

The Pioneer Village at Rison will host a free family fun celebration for the Fourth of July in celebration of America's 250th birthday.

The event kicks off at 7 p.m. with a special rendition of the National Anthem, and live music from Laura Caroline.

Guests will enjoy free hot dogs, watermelon, homemade ice cream, birthday cake and lemonade.

The Green House Cottages of Southern Hills will provide a free fireworks show to follow.
