We recently revised our Lighting the Way Young Teen curriculum. Lighting the Way is a study of the Old Testament Wisdom Books. Typically, teens just study Proverbs, but Shaping Hearts for teens includes Job, Ecclesiastes, Song of Solomon, and selected Psalms. This is a "wise" study for young teens. Shaping Hearts is expanding to include more adult bible studies. This new series, "Encountering Jesus," is available as a workbook and teacher's guide. This resource makes it easier for those teaching adult classes to both prepare and present.

If you are trying to find ways to occupy your kids during the COVID-19 issue, here’s an idea.

If you are using Shaping Hearts Curriculum, pick out a story from this quarter's studies (or from anywhere in the Bible) and get the whole family to work out and perform a play or re-enactment of the story. Video your play and upload to your congregation’s page or here on the Shaping Hearts page or both! Other children from your church as well as other members, especially seniors, will love to watch!

If you do not use Shaping Hearts Curriculum, no problem! Just pick out a Bible story for your family and act it out!

You may need to keep the videos within 2-5 minutes so they are easy to upload and watch.

We now have a wonderful women's study guide called "Women in Combat - Against Sin and Satan". If you have a ladies' class, I know your ladies will be enriched with this wonderful study. It was written by Pat Underwood and Ouida Hargrove with David Holder editing.
