In this business, sometimes you’ll spend a lot of time talking with someone, helping them, cheering them on, only for them to end up joining someone else.
And you know what? That’s totally okay!! Because at the end of the day, you want them to be where they feel the best connection. Every leader has a different style, personality, and energy and that’s exactly how it should be.
It’s something we don’t take personally. It happens to all of us. We talk about it, we coach our teams through it, and we move forward.
But what about when they do join you… and then later leave to join another leader within the same company?
Ouch. That one hits differently.
That one does feel personal.
And it’s not something we talk about nearly enough.
So how do we lead through it?
Just love them.
Seriously! It’s some of the best advice I’ve ever received.
Just.
Love.
Them.
Because this truth applies to every corner of your business
✨ The woman who keeps saying she’s going to join but never does? Love her.
✨ The teamie who swears she’s “going all in” but doesn’t follow through? Love her too.
✨ The sideline sister who chatted with you but joined someone else? LOVE 👏 HER 👏
Because this business isn’t about you.
It’s about how you treat people.
And when you lead with love you never lose. ❤️
