" Eventually, every student-athlete reaches a point when their eligibility expires, meaning their participation in college athletics comes to an end. While some athletes will stop participating in sports completely, others will stay involved with the community in various ways.

After graduation, student-athletes make these decisions for their future that alter their relationship with sports. Regardless of how involved in the sports community they choose to be, they can still apply what they learned in sports to life. "

"Recently, news came from Puffin Books that the newest reprint of English author Roald Dahl’s classic children’s tales would include changes to the wording of some passages. Some of the novels receiving this treatment include “James and the Giant Peach,” “Matilda” and “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.”'

"The White House made a statement on Feb. 27 announcing that federal employees had 30 days to delete TikTok from their government-issued phones. Most of the U.S. government, from Congress to the U.S. Armed Forces, has already banned the app due to privacy concerns, according to a White House statement."

The Wallace Theatre is premiering an all-new production of the Broadway adaptation of “Cinderella.” This production will once again bring the grandness of last year’s “Beauty and the Beast” performance, since it is a fairytale filled with beautiful costumes, set design and magic. This rendition will be based on the Broadway revival with new songs and twists on the classic tale."

"It is not often we get to be a part of something bigger than ourselves, to see something not only visually stunning but also magical — some would almost say mythical. “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical” is exactly that.

Bridging the gap between reality and fantasy gives fans who grew up with these books a sense of nostalgia but conveys a deeper meaning as well. From the stunning costumes to the choreography on stage, “The Lightning Thief ” is a dazzling production even Zeus himself would have trouble living up to."

Though he has been performing magic on campus for over a year, he became better-known campus-wide last year when a video of him doing magic appeared on the popular student-run Instagram account CBU confessions. "The CBU men’s wrestling team is heading to the Big 12 conference tournament for the first time in history in Tulsa, Okla. from March 4-5, where Lancer wrestlers faced off against the top 33 wrestlers in the nation. Being a part of this conference is an accomplishment, as it is the second toughest conference in the nation, based on the number of qualifiers. Athletes who managed to secure a spot at the conference will compete at the NCAA Championships, which will be in Tulsa from March 16-18."

"It is rare in sports to be able to witness the rise of greatness. It is rarer to be able to recognize a piece of sports history in the making that will lay the foundation for many decades to come.

The California Baptist University stunt team fits this category, not only because stunt as a sport is beginning to gain traction in America, but also because of how well the team has developed itself into becoming the national standard for stunt at the collegiate level."
