One of the few good things about California… 🤷🏽‍♂️
If you ride, even in a state where lane-splitting is illegal, I still encourage you to have a lane-splitting state of mind.
I’ve seen too many crash videos where the rider had an escape path but froze because they were afraid of “breaking the law.”
To be clear…I am not telling you to break your state’s laws or practice illegal lane-splitting. But if you ever find yourself choosing between making contact or using an escape path, choose survival. Move. Split. Escape. Do what you must to make it home.
God bless and keep you on the roads. Stay cautious. Keep your head on a swivel. Keep the dirty side down. And go be a Decent Rider. 🤙🏽🙏🏽

Love it or hate it, lane-splitting is legal in California, and when done responsibly, it can be safer when you look at the bigger picture.
And again, I genuinely appreciate the motorcycle awareness, but there’s really no need to drive onto the shoulder to let motorcycles pass. Even on a bagger, there’s usually plenty of room to lane-share, unless you’re in LA, where apparently lanes were designed by someone holding a grudge.
Anyways, thanks for coming to my TED Talk.
May the Lord of Heaven and Earth, the Creator of all things, touch your heart today. Get to know the One who truly cares for you and wants a relationship with you.

Love the motorcycle awareness BUT let’s also be aware of the fact that we DON’T need that much room to safely split. Too much debris on these shoulders. Lane-Splitting exists but so does Lane-SHARING. Thank you, but “just a little” is okay.👌🏽May the God of all creation continue to bless you beyond your imagination and keep you safe and sound every time you hop on these roads! 🤙🏽🙏🏽

To my riders out there…stay cautious, keep your head on a swivel and keep the dirty side down!

Also, for the new riders…peep how long I waited before pulling in the clutch. BRAKE FIRST. You’re NOT going to stall, if that’s what you’re really worried about. GRABBING THE CLUTCH WILL NOT SLOW YOU DOWN.

Speaking of slowing down…if you can’t properly brake at the speed you’re traveling….SLOW IT DOWN. That is all.

Ya’ll nerd out over a ✌🏽 or 🤙🏽… I nerd out when I get a sign back. 🥸 Remember, kids: ride your own ride. Be like the biker who yielded and kept splitting at his pace—not mine. And stop treating rev-bombs like a superpower. Every unnecessary rev is less power to the rear tire = less control when you need it most. Dense traffic and high speeds demand smooth inputs, not ego. Too many new riders are splitting way above their skill level. Truth is, even seasoned riders can get hurt when speed differentials get stupid. Fast doesn’t equal skilled. Controlled does. With that being said, go out there and be a Decent Rider! May God bless and keep you. 🤙🏽✌🏽🙏🏽

A reminder to practice “looking where you want to go”. Practice makes HABIT, NOT PERFECT. Target Fixation is a killer. We were blessed to not be out on the road and it wasn’t as bad as it could’ve been. I also could’ve avoided this if I had my hand “cell phone free”…so keep that in mind next time you’re having a good time. All it takes is one second! 😔
Oh…and listen to that true biker…first thing he worries about is his Bike. 🤣🤷🏽‍♂️
