For decades, the story of longtime Lander resident Sam Sing has survived in pieces: a standout grave marker at Mount Hope Cemetery, old newspaper ads for bath-house and laundry services, references to a small fortune made in the oil business, a few museum artifacts, and an obituary that describes him simply as "a good citizen."

The Corporations, Elections and Political Subdivisions Committee, Chairman State Senator Cale Case (R-Lander) explained last Thursday morning, is taking another look at its attempts to update Wyoming's public records laws. “It’s a quieter year for Fremont County,” Wyoming Department of Transportation (WYDOT) Public Relations Specialist Cody Beers remarked. That’s good news for people who don’t want their weekend travel to be impeded by road construction projects – but still raises some questions.
