Back in 2023 I created Nerdy Adventures to share my love for all things nerdy and cool. Due to trauma in my teenage years, I never truly felt like I was able to enjoy those times. I held on to that trauma and finally after I retired from the Air Force back in 2015, I was able to breathe and take the time to heal with the help of friends and family. I started to do the awesome things I wished I could have done in my younger years and I noticed it helped me to bond better with my kids. Being a single Mom now for over 17 years has taught me so much about myself and how I wanted my kids to enjoy their teenage years. I now want to share that journey and help other struggling parents grow that bond with their kids through nerdy time.

Nerdy Adventures started with sharing our trips to the zoo, aquarium, and Walt Disney World but also our love of all things Marvel , Star Wars , and LEGO .
I am in the process of rebuilding and will now be including Universal Orlando Resort and Pokémon. This weekend Emmalyn and I are headed to Universal and I am so excited to share that world with her. It is also Mardi Gras time there so I'm looking forward to lots of food and fun. If you want to learn more or have suggestions on what you want to see, please let me know.

I did it. I went back to Sam's club to get the other LEGO botanical set they had. I need to find a good place to display them. I have my nerd room but these should be out in a more public area of the house. These LEGO designers are incredible. I would love to be a creator that works with LEGO, maybe as my numbers grow they would accept me. I need a larger space for all my Star Wars LEGO sets.

So I finally did it! I just published my first eBook on Amazon. It is in the review stage but it is still very exciting. It is the chapter I wrote last year for "Mom Magic: Moms for Change". It is just 6 pages but it tells a very important part of my story that I believe will help others and explains more about me.

For the past few years, I allowed myself to give my light and my energy to others who didn't deserve it or they abused it. I am now in the process of healing and forgiving myself for the person I became. I have been going within and healing that hurt little girl who did whatever it took to get love. I know I deserve to be loved for who I am not for what I can do for others. Shedding those toxic people had been difficult but I know that I am worthy of so much more. ✨❤️✨❤️

I got Tyler's freshman photo proofs back and I love them. He looks more and about like Bruce as he gets older. I am so proud of the young man he is becoming and I know his Dad is watching over him from Heaven. He has Bruce's musical talents and my nerdiness. Tyler has dealt with so much in his 15 years and he inspires me everyday. 🥰
