Oh NOW I’m extra done with this.

She DID greet him. It just wasn’t the stiff, buttoned up, “yes sir” version he apparently thinks he’s entitled to. It was a casual dap, warm, human, real. The kind of greeting people use when they’re actually being genuine instead of performative.

And let’s be honest about what’s really sitting underneath all this… 👀

That style of greeting? That culture? That ease? He didn’t like it.

So instead of just taking the L like a grown man, we get a whole narrative about “respect” because it didn’t look the way he wanted it to look.

Miss me with that coded nonsense.

Because somehow when women, especially Black women, show up confident, direct, and not bending themselves into someone else’s idea of “proper,” it suddenly becomes a problem. Not because it is one, but because it doesn’t center him.

Meanwhile she’s out there winning games and keeping it classy, and he’s spiraling over the format of a handshake.

Be serious.

Respect isn’t about choreography. It’s about how you carry yourself. And from where I’m standing, one of them showed up grounded and winning… and the other one couldn’t handle not being the moment.

We all saw it. 💅

🍂 It’s officially decorative gourd season, y’all! We hit up Wades Orchard in Woolwine for pumpkins, apples, and cozy fall vibes, then swung by Tony’s pizza & Pub in Stuart to fill our bellies (10/10, would absolutely go again). Both spots were sweet as pie and trans mama approved!

Well y’all, I finally made it over to The Mayberry Trading Post today, tucked away at milepost 180 on the Blue Ridge Parkway 🌲✨ Let me tell you, it is peak holler girl aesthetic — a creaky old general store that smells like history, fried bologna sandwiches, and maybe a little ghost or two. 👻

It’s the kind of place where you can buy hoop cheese, moon pies, and possibly someone’s family heirloom quilt if you ask nice enough. The shelves are stacked like grandma’s pantry and the porch is made for sittin’ and gossipin’. Honestly? 10/10 recommend if you wanna step back in time, stretch your legs, and feel like you’re in an Appalachian fever dream.

Y’all… I was at the Willis Dollar General today and they had this whole jungle theme going on — mugs, decor, lil’ leafy prints, the works. 🐒🍃 Honestly? Kinda adorable.
