Happy New Year from the It’s Your Night team! 🎉 As we step into 2026, we’re kicking things off by spotlighting the people who make our events feel unforgettable—starting with one of our own: Joey Vanderveer.

Joey is a DJ and live musician whose love for music started back in high school the moment he picked up a guitar. What began as songwriting and performing has grown into a career built around connection—leading worship at events across the country, teaching elementary art in North Texas, and bringing music to life at weddings and celebrations of all kinds.

When he’s not behind the DJ booth or on stage, Joey is a devoted husband and father of five, and that heart for people shows up in everything he does. He has a natural way of reading the room, keeping the dance floor moving, and making sure every moment feels intentional and personal.

Whether Joey is DJing your reception or performing live music for your ceremony, his goal is always the same: create an atmosphere that feels like you—fun, meaningful, and full of energy.

Fun fact: Joey has competed on Family Feud five times (yes, five). That big personality and genuine passion for what he does make him an incredible part of the It’s Your Night team.
