Dolly Parton has been privately laid to rest. Lainey Mae Parton, Dolly’s niece shared a tribute on Instagram and Facebook, Saturday, August 29th. She wrote that she waited to make the post until after Parton "was laid to rest yesterday."

I’m so thankful I said yes to the opportunities and memories I got to share with her as my Aunt Dolly, including being in a movie with her. I’m so glad I have those moments to look back on now. I have things I can watch, hear, and hold onto when I miss her.

It still doesn’t feel real that she’s gone. I’m going to miss her voice, her laugh, her hugs, and just knowing she was there. I’m even going to miss her calling me at 4 AM, and I’d give anything to see her name pop up on my phone again. 102.3 The Coyote

102.3 The Coyote/Tails Humane Society Pet of the week: Meet Linus, a confident, friendly, and overall rock-solid companion who is ready to bring endless joy into your home! Linus gets along great with everyone he meets and has fantastic dog manners. He loves to play with other pups but is super respectful of their boundaries—if another dog isn't in the mood, he politely moves on. When it comes to playtime, though, his true passion is solo play with squeaky stuffed toys. He takes his job as a toy inspector very seriously (expect stuffies to meet a swift end!), but thankfully, his playful destruction is strictly limited to his toys.

In the home, Linus is a dream to live with. He is fully house trained and walks like a champ on the leash. When left unsupervised, he stays cozy in a confined area; he might throw a brief, hilarious "FOMO" protest if he thinks he's missing out on something, but he settles down quickly. At 7 years of age, he is mature without losing any of his vigor. With his easygoing, confident nature, he’d likely do great with kids, and he'd thrive as either a solo pup or alongside another respectful dog! Call 815.758.2457
