Matthew Burrell shared a real story from a recent county proposal:

A vendor submitted a beautiful proposal for services at the Rochester airport…
…but their graphics showed the Rochester, Minnesota airport instead of Rochester, NY.

The airport director walked in, saw it, and said:
“That’s not my airport.”

The proposal was immediately rejected.

It didn’t matter how good the rest of it was — the mistake showed they didn’t understand the agency or the project.

Matthew’s advice:
✔️ Read the requirements carefully
✔️ Review the selection criteria
✔️ Take your time
✔️ Check every detail

Small mistakes can cost big opportunities.
