In this episode, Brik Chik sits down with DJ Dana, a true Rochester icon with 40 years of DJ experience and a lifelong commitment to music, culture, and community.

From spinning and organizing the Rochester Summer Soul Music Festival to supporting the historic Hanover Reunion, Dana has played a major role in shaping the city’s cultural heartbeat.

His journey goes back to the early ’80s in Harlem, where he and his brother created street art and lived through the birth of Hip-Hop. And it was Hip-Hop pioneer Luv Bug Starski who first put Dana behind the turntables — sparking a passion that never stopped.
