📚✒️LACK OF ATTENTIVENESS IN PRAYER CAN NULLIFY ITS REWARD

Prophet Muḥammad Ṣallallāhu-ʿAlaihi Wa Sallam said:

أول ما يرفع من الناس الأمانة وآخر ما يبقى من دينهم الصلاة ورب مصل لا خلاق له عند الله تعالى

⚠️ “The first thing to be lifted from people (i.e from this Ummah) is TRUST and the last thing to remain of their religion is prayer;

and perhaps one will pray but he would have NO PORTION (acceptance or reward) with Allāh Taʿālā.” [مختصر صحيح الجامع الصغير برقم ٢٥٧٥ ، حسنه الألباني]

{يَا أَيُّهَا الَّذِينَ آمَنُوا قُوا أَنفُسَكُمْ وَأَهْلِيكُمْ نَارًا}
🏚️ _Translation: *O you who’ve believed, protect yourselves and your families from a Fire…

This means: He teaches him (the child) the halaal and haraam.

And he prohibits him from disobedience and sin and other than that…"* [Tafsir al-Qurtubi 66:6]

📚✒️THE WISDOM BEHIND WASHING AFTER A DOG LICKS A VESSEL

Abū Hurayrah (رَضِيَ اللهُ عَنْهُ) reported that I heard him (Messenger of Allāh (ﷺ) say:

_وسمعته يقول: *"الحكمة من الغسل من ولوغ الكلب أن فم الكلب متعلق به ديدان صغار ناتجة عن لحسه لدبره، فالغسل بالتراب يميت تلك الديدان".
🕹️ “The wisdom behind washing after a dog licks a vessel is that a dog's mouth contains tiny worms resulting from its habit of licking its own rear. Washing with soil kills these worms.”

🪟 ’Umar b. al-Khattāb رضي الله عنه used to write to the different regions, ‘The most important of your affairs is the prayer.

Whoever safeguards it, will safeguard his religion; and whoever neglects it, will neglect other [aspects of the religion] more.

There is no share in Islam for the one who abandons the prayer.’ [Important Lessons for Ramadan pg. 142]

Prophet ﷺ said:

🟧 "He (man who slept through Fajr) is a man in whose ears Shaytān has urinated."
-[صحيح البخاري ٥٩/٨٠]

Here is the commentary by Ibn Hajr:
هو مثل مضروب للغافل عن القيام بثقل النوم كمن وقع البول في أذنه فثقل أذنه وأفسد حسه والعرب تكني عن الفساد بالبول

“It is an example used for the one who is negligent of prayers due to heavy sleep as if he has got his ear filled with urine till it became weighed down and his senses got corrupted. Arabs have used urination as a metaphor for corruption.”

_الاعتدال في الضحك: *ترْكُ الضَّحِكَ بِالْكُلِّيَّةِ مِنَ الْكِبْرِ وَالتَّجَبُّرِ وَسُوءِ الْخُلُقِ وكَثْرَتُهُ مِنَ الْخِفَّةِ وَالطَّيْشِ والِاعْتِدَالُ بَيْنَ ذَلِكَ غَيْرُ مُنْكَرٍ.
🈸 Moderation in laughter

● Quitting laughter altogether is due to arrogance, bragging and bad manners

● And abundance of laughter is from lightness and recklessness

● Moderation between that is not denied."* Hidayat al-Hiyara 363]
