Tools can be expensive. But cost shouldn’t be an obstacle to anyone wanting to repair their home or business. πŸ§°πŸ›

That's where the South East Area Coalition's Tool Shed comes in. But they also do more than just lend out building necessities. The team hosts DIY classes, from property investment to tool safety, and aims to make the Shed a hub for community learning, empowering neighbors to come together and improve their surroundings.

Growing up, Yazzie Turner thought beauty was determined by others. "Everyone else decided how I looked and if it was enough," she writes in an essay for Flower Power Magazine. "Then, one day, I realized that my beauty is dependent on me and me alone."

Many wonder why a social worker started a photography business. In reality, social work and photography are not so far apart. In both of these roles, 's Meg Tyo (Sweet Home Photography) seeks to honor and understand your story.

Meg's series of senior portraits asks important questions in a society that's afraid of getting old: "What/who are important to you? How does where you come from shape who you are? What do you want to remember? And what have you overcome?"

We featured Meg in our May magazine, and her photos and story brought us so much joy! Get a copy of the mag today at flowerpowermag.com and consider supporting our IndieGoGo fundraiser. 🧑

We're aiming to raise $6,500 to print our next 2 issues. AND there are perks! From free ad spots to magazine swag and social shoutouts, we've got gifts to say thank you to anyone who helps us out! ✨🧑 Help us out:
