✨Our Early Learning Team was B-U-S-Y this weekend! ✨

1️⃣We hosted our first "Family Movie Friday" at WXXI on Friday evening! We enjoyed a cozy evening and got to preview the brand new Sesame Street and the Great Elephant Adventure🐘 (Coming to WXXI on PBS KIDS on October 14!). Stay tuned for October's Family Movie Friday sign up - we'll be getting into the Halloween spirit!🎃👻

2️⃣Saturday we joined in the fall at Fall Fest!🍁⛅🎃 Cheers to City of Rochester, NY, MVP Health Care, and Downtown Rochester, NY for putting on such a festive day for families. We had a blast playing with our Work It Out Wombats Pop Up Activity Stations, sharing our 60th anniversary banner of PBS KIDS shows, and distributing over 250+ Work It Out Wombats and PBS KIDS Play & Learn Activity Kits to families! (The Play & Learn Activity Kits were made possible by the generous support of Sarajane Fondiller.)

Parental monitoring can help protect kids from the harms of social media and excess screen time. Screen time boundaries plus early and open conversations about online habits can make kids less vulnerable.

Activity idea: Make an Arch With Flores de Papel!🌸🌺🌼

On Rosie's Rules, Rosie and her friends want to make a flower arch so that they can take a family photo — but their garden doesn’t have any flowers! Abuela shows them how to make a beautiful bouquet of flores de papel — or paper flowers.

Make flores de papel with your child to create a backdrop for a celebration or family event. You can make your flores de papel in many colors and sizes! Learn how here: https://www.pbs.org/parents/crafts-and-experiments/make-an-arch-with-flores-de-papel
