Hello beautiful humxns! Welcome to PhotoPhile! I am a scanning service dedicated to helping you preserve your precious photographic memories as digital files. There are so many benefits to digital preservation. Some of these benefits include:
• Shareability - once your photographs are stored as digital files, it becomes incredibly easy to share them with friends and family, make digital or printed albums or other keepsakes, etc
• Organization - the process of scanning our photographic media often requires sorting, organizing, even cleaning. These steps be done by me as an addition to your scanning service. And once everything is digitized, the organizational process can be expanded even further with the use of tags, labels, categories, albums, etc.
• Freedom from overwhelm - tackling the task of digitizing our media can be an enormous burden. Giving this task to a trusted professional service removes the stress of the process and lets you enjoy the outcome instead
• Peace of mind - knowing the hard copies of your memories are safely preserved in digital files (and preferably backed up on an external device, which can be included as part of your service package), you can rest easy knowing they are safe in the event of damage, loss, or age.
In addition to scanning for preservation, I also offer restoration services for photographs that have already suffered from physical damage or the passage of time. Seeing beloved photos brought back to life is my favorite part of the work, so please don’t hesitate to request a quote for any images you’d love to see restored!
The rate for standard scanning of 3x5 and 4x6 photos without any additional needs (repairs, restoration, or cleaning) is $.40/scan. Larger images, odd formats or materials, and extremely fragile or valuable images are done individually using special equipment and are $1/scan.
