Is there anything cozier than a cousin Christmas at the Rustic Greenhouse Minis!?! And how brilliant to book a spot just for them for Christmas this year! (Good call mommas!!!!)

These four loved exploring all over this dreamy spot. Inside they sat by the fireplace and played with rustic wooden toys and hung ornaments... they were surprised and excited to take a ride on Ruby the reindeer and the festive cozy coupe in the back.

It was truly all theirs to explore with their very best besties!

I had such a wonderful time photographing this young man for his 2026 senior photos... We walked the trails, stopped by the creek, explored downtown, and he even let me get creative shots with his tennis shoot! Senior sessions are so fun to provide a mix to really showcase the unique season they are in.

He was such a sport and momma loves having these photos for memories and plans to make a photo book, so the variety means a lot to her!

Fall is an amazing time to get those senior sessions in while the leaves are turned and the air is cooler! Booking now for senior sessions in fall 2026!

Behind the scenes…editing! These nutcracker minis take a lot of love to give them that magical, whimsical feel! After sorting and choosing the best images, I then take them into the editing program and bring them to the next level! I’ve had my toes in the graphic design world since working for “Kinkos” when I was 19 years old (2005)… also where I met my husband 😘😘🥰🥰😘😘. Then in 2013 I opened an Etsy shop where I sold nursery art inspired by Pottery Barn Kids collections. I sold nursery art for 10 years and then decided to dive into the photography world. Editing is one of my favorite parts of being a photographer because I feel like I can take the foundation of a beautiful photo and whip out my digital brushes and paint like a blank canvas! During editing, you will always find me with my ear phones on either listening to a Fierce Marriage podcast, Doing Life Differently (Katelyn James) or music that inspires the editing! (Lately, that’s been Christmas music 😆)

I knew November would be the busiest time of the year, but what I didn't expect was all of the ups and downs of weather.... rain, wind, super cold temps, more rain. If there is one thing that photography is always in the process of teaching me... it's that some things I just can't control.

That's a hard lesson for someone (ME) who thhhhriiivessss on making sure every little detail is as it should be. But with that always comes the realization that everything always works out in the end.

It's also been such a blessing to be shown so much grace from wonderful families that have had to reschedule their sessions due to the weather. Thank you.

Well, if I had a photoshoot that expressed what I am passionate about... this would be it.

Nutcracker Bowtique minis were, by far, one of the most joy-filled experiences I've ever had as a photographer.

First of all, my kiddos helped me set up for this shoot and we spent the day together. They are getting a first hand experience at what it takes to run a business... seeing all the details, helping me greet families, set up the crowns and hair area, handle the music, and many other behind the scenes touches. I am so thankful for that, and they love earning some extra money! ;)

Secondly, seeing these princesses (and princes') dressed up, dancing around the set to the nutcracker suite, smiling, giggling, and all the other little things their toes did, was so fun and just magical. Many of them had better dance moves then what I could offer! I loved watching them come to life and do their thing!

These will definitely be a repeat session for Rachael Michelle Photography next year...

What a fun way to kick off the most wonderful time of the year!
