“Leo’s Latticini, widely known as “Mama’s,” is a historic, family-run Italian deli that has anchored the Corona neighborhood in Queens for a century.

Established in the 1920s (originally starting around Williamsburg before moving to Queens), the shop operates with a timeless, old-school feel.

The interior is packed floor-to-ceiling with gourmet Italian goods, cured meats, and specialty products.

The deli includes a small, charming backyard space featuring a statue of Saint Francis, offering a quiet spot to eat.

Mama’s of Corona operated a concession stand at Shea Stadium for nine years before moving over to when it opened in 2009, and finally closing in July 2021.”

“The massive ‘No Nukes’ movement protests in New York City did not occur directly at LaGuardia Airport (LGA). However, historical anti-nuclear and peace rallies are famously connected to the airport’s flight path.

Because these immense outdoor concerts and speeches took place under the active flight paths of LaGuardia Airport, media reports and attendees frequently noted how the roaring jet engines overhead competed with the stadium sound systems.

Additionally, during unrelated labor strikes in the 1980s (such as the Eastern Airlines walkouts), union workers localized at LGA regularly integrated ‘No Nukes’ chants and banners into their airport picket lines.
