I am wrapping up my last few weeks in South Beloit before we move and expand into our new Rockford location ✨✨. I do have limited appointments until Tuesday, October 29 th before all appointments will be scheduled for Rockford.

Here is what I have in the next two weeks, and pricing is back to regular as of today, October 20th!

We have decided to start from scratch to really speak to our ideal clients, busy women, moms and high-achieving women who crave the time and space to get away from the daily chaos of demanding careers and families through massage therapy ✨✨✨.

🔊🔊Hi, everyone. I wanted to come here and inform you of some unfortunate events that have occurred over the past week🔊🔊.

Last week, Tuesday, my personal Facebook account was hacked. My personal information was changed before I even knew someone had gotten access, and have temporarily lost access to everything on my personal profile.

Not only that, but this person is trying to assume my identity. He or she has changed my "intro", saying that I own businesses that I do not, is posting daily about crytocurrency, and posting photos of my family. I have even had people message this page asking me about those crypto posts, thinking that this is what I am doing and if I can give them more information. This is so sad, and something that has kept me emotionally unwell for over a week now.

THIS IS NO LONGER ME, KELLIE MITCHELL, POSTING FROM THAT PROFILE. Please do not interact with this person.

I understand that this could damage my personal and professional reputation, and am working hard to get this issue resolved with Facebook (which is taking forever and a day...)

With that being said, I am very fortunate to still have access to this business page, thanks to a good friend and someone I was working with last year that I gave admin access to. Thank you!! 🙏🏽🙏🏽

I appreciate your patience as I try to navigate this issue, may not be getting back to messages in the manner I typically do, and get back to serving my clients.

Browsing September’s issue of “ massage & bodywork” magazine 📖📒 this morning!

I am loving this column ⬇️:

“What’s one thing you wish you learned in massage school?”

This is so relatable. School teaches a lot! It teaches us the mechanics. But it does not teach us business (or much of), unfortunately! That stuff? We are forced to learn on our own.

For me, I wish we would have had the opportunity to speak to more therapists in the industry and learn more about pay structures - everyone from employees, small business owners, small locations, large locations, W2 employee vs independent contractor, the true cost of being a solopreneur and employer.

This truly is a life long learning experience 🎉🎊.

𝙈𝙮 𝙝𝙪𝙨𝙗𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄 𝙘𝙚𝙡𝙚𝙗𝙧𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙙 𝙤𝙪𝙧 3️⃣𝙧𝙙 𝙬𝙚𝙙𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙖𝙣𝙣𝙞𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙨𝙖𝙧𝙮 𝙤𝙣 𝙒𝙚𝙙𝙣𝙚𝙨𝙙𝙖𝙮 💒💍💓!

When I say my husband is my BIGGEST supporter and cheerleader, I mean it. He was the one to tell me "You're ready," when I wanted to quit my time as a massage therapist employee back in 2020, after 10 years.

And by supporter + cheerleader, I don't mean that he agrees or hypes me up on every business idea I have. I mean that he looks out for the well-being of myself and the business, and sometimes that looks like:

➡️tough love
➡️criticism
➡️feedback

Support isn't just "what feels good." I'm the empath, he's the logic. And it's a wonderful match.

We often joke that I will hire him one day to be my business advisor/coach/admin....but are we really joking?? 😁🤣 But for real, he has a way of getting me back on the straight and narrow in times when I am feeling overwhelmed, stressed, and defeated.

This business is a large part of our family's livelihood.
I'm not here to have a hobby.
I'm not doing this for "fun."
This is my full-time career and the way I support myself and my family for now and years to come.

PS- If you're someone who has the support of your spouse, consider yourself very very blessed 😇🪽!
