Nicole is trying to set boundaries, but her MIL isn't having it.

"My fiancé and I just bought our very first home—I was so excited… until his mom asked for a spare key. Not for emergencies, not to water plants while we’re out of town—just to have one.

I told her no. I just said I wasn’t comfortable with that. I want to feel like our home is truly ours. I don’t want people being able to pop in unannounced. My fiancé & MIL are now making me feel like I’m being dramatic or that I don’t trust her.
This is our space. My space. I don't even want a neighbor having a key—why should his mom?"
