NEW DATE: Please note that the "Caroling at The Tracks" event planned for Thursday, December 18, has been rescheduled for Tuesday, December 23, at 5 p.m. because of the forecast for rain. The McElraths invite all to come out to celebrate the Christmas season with them at “Caroling at The Tracks” from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, December 23, with many festivities and activities for children. The event will be held at the new The Tracks facility, which is the former Southern Casket Company in Goodwater.

10:37 update from ALEA: The scene is clear, and the roadway is back open.

Notice: Lane closure

From the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency:
A single-vehicle crash that occurred involving a commercial vehicle at approximately 7:33 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 4, has caused a lane closure. The westbound lanes of Alabama Highway 22 near 81 mile marker in Coosa County are currently closed and will be for an undetermined amount of time. Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s Highway Patrol Division are currently on scene investigating and will continue to monitor the situation and provide updates accordingly.
