The 49th Annual Festival of the Arts returns Memorial Day Weekend, May 23–24, in historic Marshfield Hills. If you need a few reasons to go, here are ten:

1. If you’ve been wanting a segue into collecting original art, hightail it to Art in the Barn.
2. Get a 🍪 +☕️ from and wander slowly.
3. Browse hardcovers and hidden gems in the book tent at the end of the street.
4. Plein air painters don’t mind you taking a peek. (+ many you'll know from our issues past & present!)
5. Enjoy artwork in both halls - from the juried show and Marshfield High student artists.
6. Experience live music, puppet parade, and performances throughout the weekend.
7. Support a nonprofit that keeps creativity accessible year-round.
8. Celebrate 49 years of volunteer-run community magic.
9. Celebrate + purchase this year’s Festival Poster Artist, Page Railsback (), whose painting “Beach Time” will be raffled during the festival.
10. Be in community and remember creativity thrives when people gather in person. 💫
