The Sierra College Press is excited to announce that Kim Culbertson will keynote and interview Daniel Handler (aka Lemony Snicket) at the 2026 Sierra Writers Conference. Kim is an award-winning author, a friend of Sierra College Press, and a longtime contributor to the annual Sierra Writers Conference.

She launched her new book Other People’s Children at a highly attended, joyous event on Saturday at the Book Seller in Grass Valley. Changing course from YA fiction and her recent instructional book 100-Word Stories: A Short Form for Expansive Writing, the novel addresses what it’s like to be an educator in a small town. It’s a must read for teachers and anyone who loves a good story.
