There is a prize for finishing your race. There is a prize that is life changing as it shifts you from one level and accelerates you to another level. Let that alone encourage you that if you keep going there will be a prize on the other side of this race. You will receive something that you would not have received if you quit, gave up or chose not to run at all. The mindset of believing it is more holy to be down, to lose, to be low is demonic and I curse that agenda to fail and render it null in void in Jesus name. No where in the bible does it say that anyone is destined to live low, poor, in struggle, survival mode and failing in life.

God makes it noticeably clear from his own mouth his plans for you in Jeremiah 29:11 NLT “For I know the plans I have for you says the Lord, they are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.” God desires for you to win in life. He desires for you to thrive, to succeed and to dominate in life. He sent his only Son Jesus Christ to be the sacrifice that paid for our sins and as a result when we choose him, we receive abundant life on earth and eternal life in heaven John 3:16.

There are some people who have lived in survival mode for so long that what God is saying in the word is difficult for them to believe it. I want you to say this right now aloud as it is a confession of faith. I am destined to win, I am an overcomer, I walk in abundance, I walk in overflow, and increase.

If you want to win you must race toward the mark and not look back. God tell us this in the word “But forget all that it is nothing compared to what I am going to do. For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland” (Isaiah 43:18-19 NLT).

I love this verse because God is telling us to not focus on the past because what he has ahead of us is much greater than the past. What is ahead of us has been pre-ordained by God. He has already gone ahead of us and made a way when it seems like there is not a way. He is revealing to us that nothing or no one can stop you from propelling ahead when God gets involved. But if a person is looking backwards or stuck on the past then how will they ever experience or receive the new thing God has for them if they will not move forward?

Just reading these words may be difficult for many people but I promise you that this band aid must be ripped off before you can enter your winning season. You must be the leader in your own life, and it begins by you taking responsibility and accountability for your own actions or lack thereof. It is not your parent’s fault, a spouse, a sibling, it is you. You are the captain of your own ship; you are making the “decisions that will determine your destiny no one else” (Dr. Mike Murdock).
