Our Story

Started in 2017, Emo Raleigh was born out of love for 2000’s emo, screamo, and pop-punk music. What began as just a local emo night, called Get Sad Y’all, has evolved into a full-blown event planning, management, and booking company.

In addition to hosting the only emo night that Adam Lazzara (Taking Back Sunday) has ever done, we’ve partied with members of All Time Low, Chiodos, Waterparks, The Wonder Years, Silverstein, Issues, State Champs, Sleeping with Sirens, New Found Glory, We the Kings, Hawthorne Heights, Bayside, Motion City Soundtrack, Cartel, The Dangerous Summer, and more!

We also throw a monthly emo karaoke night - Get Sad, Sing Bad - that has at times included a backing band, either from local favorites Sell Outs Inc or the Emo Band themselves, and is expanding to Charlotte.
