I am a small business owner making chocolates for parties, weddings, gifts and just for that personal late night chocolate craving that i have every so often. I work full time but what started as a hobby for fun has turned into a small business. I’m a single mom who started making candy for my son to take to school and it has branched off from there. He was my “quality control specialist” for awhile, letting me know what was good and not good, then it branched out to his friends trying stuff. I gave it away as gifts or brought it to the office pot luck and people started ordering chocolates to take home, then to give as gifts, then for parties and weddingsetc. What I was surprised about is that they came back for more! Haha. I realized that my higher power seemed to be handing me an opportunity right in front of me to actually begin working on MY dream and if I didnt try to create my dream, I would never know if I could suceed. We like to do fun themed treats that are personalized for your event, that you may not be able to get in the store. Sometimes, we get a photo of something and are asked to make it as is, sometimes we create something new. We make many of our molds and pride ourselves in working with each of our customers to create, by hand, something special for you that you will be proud to share. Each of our chocolates are created and painted by hand.
What does the 143 stand for? Chocolate (1) I (4) Love (3) You! Also, a little history lesson is that back in the 1940’s in WWII during the war, soldiers would write letters to their sweethearts and out of fear of Germany confiscating the letters and threatening their family, they would write in code and at the end of the letter they would tell their sweethearts 143! menaing I LOVE YOU! In my sparetime I work alot with veterans and my WWII vets have told me that sweet story and it became kind of sentimental to me. So that is a little trivia for you and why i have “143” in my company name.
