🇺🇸 ÚLTIMA HORA: El Senado de EE. UU. aprueba acuerdo bipartidista para poner fin al cierre del gobierno de 40 días

🏛️ El Senado de EE. UU. ha alcanzado oficialmente el umbral de 60/40, aprobando un acuerdo bipartidista para poner fin al cierre del gobierno de 40 días que dejó a millones de personas en dificultades en todo el país.

El acuerdo restablece los beneficios del Programa de Asistencia Nutricional Suplementaria (SNAP, por sus siglas en inglés) a 42 millones de estadounidenses, garantiza el pago retroactivo a más de 1.3 millones de trabajadores federales y asegura la reincorporación de los empleados despedidos durante el cierre.

Los legisladores también obtuvieron la promesa de someter a votación en el Senado la Ley de Cuidado de Salud Asequible (ACA, por sus siglas en inglés) a mediados de diciembre.

🛫El cierre interrumpió los viajes aéreos, paralizó servicios esenciales y afectó gravemente a las familias trabajadoras, pero ya se vislumbra una solución.

El segundo paso del proceso de aprobación es que el proyecto de ley del Senado también deberá ser aprobado en la Cámara de Representantes de EE. UU. Se espera que esto ocurra el martes como muy pronto.

🇺🇸BREAKING NEWS: U.S. Senate Approves Bipartisan Deal to End 40-Day Government Shutdown

🏛️ The U.S. Senate has officially reached the 60/40 vote threshold, approving a bipartisan deal to end the 40-day government shutdown that left millions struggling nationwide.

The agreement restores SNAP benefits to 42 million Americans, ensures back pay for over 1.3 million federal workers, and guarantees reinstatement for employees fired during the shutdown.

Lawmakers also secured a promise to hold a Senate vote on the Affordable Care Act (ACA) by mid-December.

🛫The shutdown had disrupted air travel, halted key services, and hit working families hard — but relief is now on the way.

Step Two of the approval process is that the Senate Bill will have to be passed in the US House as well. That is expected to be Tuesday at the earliest.
