The magazine accepts submissions in the categories of photography, art, creative non-fiction, poetry, and short stories from students, alumni, and faculty of Shorter University, as well as undergraduate students enrolled
at any college or university. The Chimes offers writers and artists a chance to compete for cash prizes in the annual creative writing and art contests. While all submissions will be considered for publication, prizes will only be awarded to students enrolled at Shorter University.
