📣 Centereach residents had their voices heard this week at an open forum hosted by Legislator Leslie Kennedy.

From traffic concerns on Hammond Rd. and CR-97, to quality-of-life issues, parks, and community upkeep, neighbors spoke directly to elected officials and local leaders. The forum gave residents the chance to share frustrations and push for real solutions.

🇺🇸🏑 Unity through sport. For the first time, Smithtown East & Smithtown West JV field hockey teams came together for a special Red, White & Blue scrimmage, honoring the lives lost on 9/11.

Players wore the colors of the flag, families waved American flags, and rivals stood side by side for a photo at midfield — a powerful reminder that some moments are bigger than the game. ❤️🤍💙 (Photo credit Smithtown Central School District)

🇺🇸 Smithtown came together once again to honor and remember the lives lost on September 11, 2001.

At 9/11 Park on Main Street, residents, officials, first responders, and community members gathered for the 24th anniversary ceremony — laying roses, reading names, and vowing to never forget.

“We will always remember this solemn day,” said Smithtown Supervisor Ed Wehrheim.

📰 Newsday sparks outrage after running a political cartoon about conservative activist Charlie Kirk following his assassination.

Suffolk GOP Chair Jesse Garcia slammed the paper for crossing a line, calling it “partisan journalism” and urging readers to boycott. Newsday has since apologized, saying the cartoon “never should have been published.”
