Flashback to when sent over a Laureato Skeleton to wear with my borrowed Vantage F1 Edition– serial number 001.

“Doesn’t wearing someone else’s $35k watch make you nervous?” I was asked… No, not really. But if it were my watch and its value made me uneasy— especially given the recent rise in brazen crime— you could argue that conspicuous consumption is a game of diminishing returns.

That said, playing dress up for Pebble Beach last August was as fun as its ever been. I can only hope our car events come back with a vengeance in 2022, whether we’re rocking scuffed up Swatches or someone else’s treasures.
