"Soooo it's about that time... I know a lot of folks worrying about where their next dollar is coming from for food, heat, Christmas, bills etc I like to here and there show my love to the peeps in our surrounding area. Ever since going to some of the Graduations and seeing terrible phone photos on the big screen representing a senior who accomplished possibly the biggest achievement so far in life.. I get it some folks aren't going to waste money on Senior photos!!! But I am going to setup Downtown beloit "Under The Lights" with my schedule and sun going down faster I littlerally dont have daylight spots available the rest of the year...So this is the next best I can do. 1 FREE SENIOR PHOTO FOR ANYONE WHO SHOWS UP SO THEY CAN PUT SOMETHING UP IN FRONT OF THE WHOLE CEREMONY THEY ARE PROUD OF It will be next Tuesday Nov 4th or Wednesday Nov 5th... I still haven't came to conclusion yet. And time wise of course...It will only be 1 hour but I will take ad many kiddos that show up in the time frame... I will keep this post updated ASAP. I dont care what school...If you are a Senior and you want one....Come See Me!!! Attached is a couple examples. All love to my community that loves me back."

Chance of getting rain on your costume: about 20-30%

HEADS UP FROM THE HUB: For those planning on trick or treating Friday afternoon and evening, we're now including rain chances in the forecast. An upper level disturbance will be diving southeastward late Friday, and may be just close enough to deposit a few sprinkles or showers in or around the Stateline.

Let me be abundantly clear about a few things. First of all, the rain chances are not high at all. It's quite more likely that we stay dry than that we get wet weather, but we at least need to prepare for the CHANCE of rain. Secondly, if it does happen to rain, it would NOT occur all afternoon and evening. Any activity will be light in nature and very spotty in coverage. It will NOT wash out trick or treating. Rather, it may provide a minor inconvenience.

I still firmly believe that most, if not all of us will enjoy generally quiet conditions for most, if not all of the trick or treating time period, but wanted to give a heads up just to eliminate any potential surprises!

"Unseasonable warmth" next week. We may reach 70.

Here's my latest forecast from the Weather Hub, which continues to trend in a quiet direction as we close out October and enter November. There are very small chances for a few sprinkles both Friday and Saturday, but that's the extent of it over the coming week. Perhaps the most noteworthy aspect of the forecast is the growing confidence in unseasonable warmth returning to the area next week. Several days of 60s appear to be a good bet beginning Monday, and a flirtation with 70° isn't inconceivable toward the end of next week. Stay tuned!

While the City of South Beloit is conducting a search for a new fire chief, Concerned Citizens of South Beloit says they have identified a fire chief who can bring a crew of seven other firefighting and EMT/paramedic staff with him. Councilman Courtney Prentice is "not sure where the Concerned Citizens Group is getting that information."

The South Beloit Concerned Citizens group highlighted their plan to bring the fire department back to South Beloit.
