States are taking children by force, disposing of them in their placements and installing drop boxes to collect more babies. The public deserves to know the truth before they put a baby in a box believing they will have a better life in state custody.

Parents be warned.

CASE UPDATE: Charisma Marquez, Phoenix, AZ.

Maribel Loera has taken a plea deal to avoid the death penalty for killing Charisma, concealing her body, and abusing her siblings. She’s expected to receive a sentence of 32 years in prison. The formal sentencing hearing is scheduled for October 16th, 2026.

Her husband, Rafael Loera, is expected to go to trial in 2027.

Today is the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims. Society for Adoption Truth is an initiative dedicated to the children murdered in foster care and permanent placements. The primary focus of our mission is building a database of reported murder cases in the US and abroad. With hundreds of children in the database, It has become the source of devastating statistics everyone needs to be know.

Today, we believe every child killed in this system deserves to be remembered. We believe families deserve to know the truth of what happened to them. We believe the public deserves to be educated about the system they are paying into and how they are being deceived.

Children should not be taken, trafficked, and killed in foster care and permanent "loving forever homes."

CASE UPDATE: Nubia Docter died February 11, 2011. She and her twin brother, Victor were placed in foster care with Jorge and Carmen Barahona who abused them and killed Nubia. In 2020, Carmen took a plea deal for life imprisonment in exchange for testifying against her husband. Jorge has delayed going to trial for years, but the trial is now set to begin on March 15, 2027.

CASE UPDATE: Jaylin Anderton died on August 29, 2020. She and her sister were taken by their mother's stepsister who killed her. The mother was denied contact for 3 years. She was fighting to get her younger daughter back from the state. It has now been confirmed that they have been reunited and working to rebuild their bond.

The couple, Ashley and Daniel Schwarz are both in jail. Ashley is serving 3 life sentences for capital murder. Daniel is serving 18 years in prison after taking a plea for a lesser charge of manslaughter.

CASE UPDATE: Bryan Boyer, 4 years old murdered in Davenport, Florida

Patricia Saintizaire, 36, has been convicted for 1st degree murder, child abuse, and tampering with a witness. She is sentenced to life imprisonment without parole. State Attorney Brian Haas stated "While we know we cannot bring back Bryan, at least the defendant will spend the REST of her life in prison and never be able to hurt another child."

However, children have continued to be murdered in their placements across the US and the world. Something more needs to be done. There have been 17 children murdered in Florida alone. Catching them after they've killed a child is not justice. Justice is when the crime is prevented and we don't live in fear it will happen again.

What is the state of Florida doing to prevent this from happening to another child? How many more children must lose their lives before the state itself is held accountable?

CASE UPDATE: MacKenzi Felmlee

MacKenzi was 18yo when she was murdered in her foster placement in 2024. Capital News Illinois sued DCFS in March 2026 for the release of their files on the caseworkers and the supervisor overseeing MacKenzi's case during her placement. DCFS has also failed to appear in court twice. The next court hearing is September 9th, 2026.

RIP Marcus Fiesel

The nation is remembering 3 year old Marcus 20 years after his death. On his gravestone it reads: “I love the way he smiles & giggles. I like it when he sleeps. I like to watch him play on the floor & crawl around. He’s curious about the things I hand him. He likes to cuddle.”

What happened to Marcus is unconscionable. The state promised no more harm would come to children in state custody. Despite the millions of dollars spent on reforms, 5 more children have been killed in their placements in Ohio. This is not a broken system, it’s a money-making scam run by states across the US. Another example of putting profit over people, including our children.

We need to protect our children from the state. We need to stop these states from taking and killing our children. States need to be held accountable along with the people who murder them. Why are we paying states when they outsource their jobs to private organizations that operate independently from the state?

CASE UPDATE:

Azaeliyah's killer, Sina Pili, enters a plea deal for Criminal Assault and a sentence of 10 years. She asked for forgiveness during the sentencing hearing.

Azaeliyah's injuries included fractured ribs, a hemorrhage on the top of her head, injuries on her neck indicating strangulation, and deep bruises that broke the skin and reached down to the diaphragm. Police reports revealed she beat Azaeliyah for 30 minutes. Lab tests also came back positive for COVID, Influenza A, and pneumonia.

Azaeliyah's family are outraged at the reduced sentence.
